To begin your process, here are some questions you’ll want to consider, we at A.B. Lake Construction can serve as both:
Selecting a Construction Manager:
- Chief Role: Lead and oversee a variety of building projects from start to finish.
- Assist client with initial project management planning, cost management, quality management, contract administration, safety management, selection of architect and general contractor (if not also serving as the GC themselves.), communication with team, vendors and client, problem solving.
Selecting a General Contractor:
- Chief Role: Takes control of one on-site project on daily basis, generally after the architect and designer team has been selected. May or may not participate in acquiring any required permits as individual project dictates.
- Assembles the sub-contractor teams and ensures that each assumes their role, performs their delegated task fully and as scheduled.
- Oversees project on site; frequently employed for renovations and new homes.
