I was first introduced to Alan in 2005 when my architect contracted him to finish the basement of my veterinary hospital. As with any renovations of old buildings, issues arise, and Alan was always ready with a way in which they could be addressed. He did a terrific job, and he continued to be available to help with repairs on the rest of the office long after the project was over.

A few years later we began to look for a larger site, and Alan was always available to go to the buildings and give advice.

We finally found a building, and Alan and his son Kyle took on the construction project. The project was filled with delays due to capricious building department personnel, but Alan and Kyle handled them, making it possible for me to continue working. When a problem arose, and there were many, Alan already had the solution by the time he mentioned it to me. I never had to worry about the small details that can be so time consuming because it was all handled for me. The end result was a great renovation, and I couldn't have had a better experience. My husband and I did some extensive renovations in our home. We met an AMAZING contractor named Alan Buchberg through our decorator. I wanted to make sure that we were comfortable with his ability and experience because I knew that we would all be spending a lot of time together.

Compatibility was also important to me and Alan and his son Kyle were both easy going, calm and impeccably professional. We expanded and redesigned our kitchen and also expanded and redesigned our master bedroom and bathroom, gutted and redesigned our kids' bathroom, playroom bathroom and gutted an extra bedroom to make a home office. I was very concerned with the size of this project and because I have a “type A” personality, and work full time, I wanted to make sure that all details would be paid attention to. Equally important to me was an open line of communication. If issues came up, in any project, they do, Alan was immediately available and fixed whatever issue arose.
